On July 2, Eagle County Public Health updated th public health order, and moved to the "Black Diamond" phase on July 3. There are some very important changes that impact our services, particularity with regard to face coverings. See the Transition Trail Map.

Individuals are required to wear Face Coverings that cover the nose and mouth, subject to the following:

Indoor public spaces: Individuals must wear Face Coverings when entering and inside any place of business or public indoor environment, such as a retail store, grocery store, post office, library, government buildings, theaters, and the like.
Outdoor public spaces: Face Coverings are not required when in public outdoor spaces unless six feet of physical distance from non-household members cannot be maintained over a period of 15 minutes or longer. If a client refuses to comply with the expectations of this public health order and refuses to vacate the premises, businesses may call law enforcement to enforce trespassing and/or public health violations.
Wearing a Face Covering does not replace the requirement to maintain the minimum physical distance from non-household members.
Exceptions - Face Coverings are not required: i. For persons under two years of age. ii. For child care centers or summer camps where ECPHE Industry Specific Guidance provides otherwise. iii. When seated for dining or consumption within a restaurant or bar. iv. Where wearing a Face Covering would inhibit an individual’s health due to an existing health condition. v. When receiving personal or health services that require access to the mouth or nose, including but not limited to dentistry or dermatology. vi. When exercising in a gym or fitness center when wearing a Face Covering is not physically possible. vii. Within an indoor workplace setting when the general public is not present AND persons can maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance from other people at all times.

Five Commitments

Please be vigilant in protecting yourself, your family and our community by abiding to these five commitments:

I will maintain 6 feet of social distance.
I will wash my hands often.
I will cover my face in public.
I will stay home when I am sick.
I will get tested immediately if I have symptoms.

Single-use masks will be provided at all facilities for those that do not have one. Remember, wearing a face covering does not replace social distancing of six feet when among non-household members.

Open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition, you can continue to call 970-926-1923 or email info@cordillerametro.org for assistance. Please call and schedule an appointment if you’d like to meet with anyone in administration. The office is closed July 3-5.

Post Office

Face coverings required at all times

Open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Mail carriers arrive for mail and package delivery between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Staff are onsite at 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. for package pickup. We thank you for your patience as package volume has grown tremendously.

We have implemented a few regulations to ensure a safe, healthy space for all. Please:

Wear face covering.
Enter through the main door ONLY.
Exit through the side door ONLY.
Maintain one-way traffic.
Maintain 6 feet of social distancing.
Maximum of 5 patrons in the post office at one time.
If you track your package and it shows it has been delivered to the Edwards Post Office, it may not have arrived at the Cordillera Post Office yet.
Please be patient, sometimes there are multiple deliveries in one day due to the amount of incoming mail.
Pick up packages timely as as storage is limited.
Have your yellow slip ready to expedite the time it takes to find your package. If you do not have a yellow slip, track your package before coming into the post office.
Call ahead and ask staff to bundle your mail and packages together and place outside or in the lobby for easy pickup.

Athletic Center

Masks may be removed while exercising

Open at 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with 1.5 hour sessions continuing throughout the day with the last reservation at 5:30 p.m.,seven days a week. Reservations are required and can be made two days in advance. Learn more here. Make reservations here.

Trailhead Pools

Face coverings required when using the restrooms located in the interior of building

Open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with 1.5 hour sessions continuing throughout the day with the last reservation at 4 p.m. (additional evening sessions July 2-5), seven days a week. Reservations are required and can be made two days in advance. Make reservations here.

Equestrian Center

Face coverings required at all times while indoors

Open only to boarders and trainers for scheduled care and riding of horse via a sign-up schedule.
