Community Operations
Community Operations maintains all of the community features and amenities that property owners have come to rely on. In the winter, they work around the clock keeping roads free of snow and ice. Come summer, the crew maintains 33 miles of hiking and biking trails, oversees the fishing ponds and 1.3-mile stretch on the Eagle River, helps with weed and pest control, plans for capital improvement projects, works on traffic calming techniques and monitors all the behind-the-scenes operations that keep Cordillera the best place to work, play and live.

Fishing
Fishing nirvana is owning a 1.3-mile stretch of the Eagle River. It feels worlds away but is outside your door; it's just one of the many benefits and amenities of living at Cordillera. Cordillera is one of the few communities in the West that owns a private piece of the river, allowing property owners access to the Eagle River for year-round, world-class fishing, abundant with large rainbow and brown trout. The river parcel also features viewing benches and walking paths. In addition, Cordillera is home to several stocked and managed ponds: Upper Bearden, Lower Bearden, Red Draw and Grenada Glen complete with a picnic area and dry dock.
Vail Valley Anglers (VVA) manages Cordillera's Fishing Program with its industry-endorsed guides. Educational programs, discounts on equipment and merchandise and a variety guide programs are offered.
Road Maintenance & Snow Removal
The Cordillera Metro District (CMD) is responsible for maintaining approximately 40 miles of roadways within Cordillera. To meet these responsibilities, Community Operations has skilled professional employees and modern equipment to ensure that the roads are always at their best. In addition, the keeps roads clear of snow and ice throughout the winter months, ensuring all roadways are safe for travel.

Cordillera property owners have miles of trails to enjoy, both winter and summer. Cordillera boasts approximately 30 miles of summer hiking and winter snowshoeing trails spanning The Divide, The Ranch, The Summit and Territories neighborhoods.

Trash Removal
The Cordillera Property Owners Association provides residential trash and recycling services to Cordillera Property Owners. This program is not intended for contractors or construction debris. Cordillera's designated contractor is Vail Honeywagon.

The Cordillera Metropolitan District (CMD) oversees the Vegetation Management and Weed Control Program consistent with state and county laws and regulations. This program encompasses landscaping, weed control and revegetation.
